Amlexanox: context-dependent readthrough evidence
Functional CFTR evidence supports investigating amlexanox, but negative NEFL rescue with neurite toxicity and context-dependent NMD responses prevent promotion to an established lead. GDAP1 immunofluorescence does not by itself resolve full-length protein. No exact-L737* rescue is established.
